Job Description

Xilinx Silicon Architecture team is looking for an SoC Architect for the development of next generation Adaptive SoCs. In this role, you will be responsible for the functional safety architecture of Adaptive SoC, and contribute to the architecture of processor system, camera pipeline, display system, and I/O peripherals. You will develop novel technology and architecture solutions, write specifications, analyze PPA (performance, power and area) tradeoffs, and work with product-planning, architecture & design/verification teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Define functional safety architecture & mechanisms for next generation of devices
  • Develop architecture solutions for camera (incl. ISP), video and display subsystems
  • Analyze performance, power and area tradeoffs, and specify their requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams on new SoC architecture and technologies
  • Develop SoC architecture specifications in a clear and concise language
  • Strong analytical problem solving, and attention to details
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards and safety mechanisms
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, Python, Perl
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • BS with 8+ years of exp or MS with 6+ years of exp or PhD with 3+ years of exp in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related equivalent


Desired skills

  • Knowledge of high-performance and high safety/reliability heterogenous SoC architectures
  • Knowledge of camera ISP, and video & display subsystems 
  • Additional knowledge areas include CPU, GPU, interconnect, memory systems,  and I/O peripherals
  • Deep understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO26262 and silicon safety mechanisms.
  • Track record of architecting SoC subsystems from concept to production including functional safety mechanisms
  • Knowledge of automotive, machine learning, and data-center acceleration applications
  • Knowledge of boot, security, and RAS architectures
