Xilinx Labs, part of the CTO Office at Xilinx, is concerned with innovation, differentiation, and the de-risking of technology. The Xilinx Labs Asia-Pacific group, located at the Xilinx Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, complements Xilinx Labs groups at the Xilinx headquarters in North America and in Europe.
The Staff Research Engineer will be an active researcher with an established international reputation, who makes technical contributions to projects that deliver value for Xilinx. These contributions will span hardware, software, and applications, using a variety of languages, methodologies, and tools. The current technical focus of the group includes data center and edge computing, spanning both communication aspects and computation aspects. It is expected that the research engineer will have a background and practical skills that enable significant contributions within these areas. However, it is essential that the research engineer also has a flexible approach to research topics, since Xilinx Labs adopts a very agile approach to address rapidly changing opportunities and priorities.
The research engineer will participate in the building of a collaborative ecosystem in Singapore and around the Asia-Pacific region, including startups, research institutes, and university groups. The research engineer will participate in relevant industry forums and research conferences.
Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
Doctoral and post-doctoral research areas include one or more of: computer architecture, FPGA applications and tools, hardware design, machine learning, networking, and security.
Minimum of four years of relevant experience, typically including internships or employment in academic or industrial research groups.
