EMEA Payroll Specialist

Xilinx Ireland's finance department is hiring an EMEA Payroll Specialist. As part of our global accounting organization, the EMEA Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the payroll process and ensuring timely and accurate postings for multiple EMEA payrolls including but not limited to Germany, France, Sweden, Israel, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands. The role involves working closely with internal and external key business partners. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide consolidated files to local payroll partners for processing.

  • Review payroll output for accuracy and liaise with payroll partners to correct any errors;

  • Process and communicate all payroll updates and changes with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail;

  • Prepare full supporting data for any payroll payments required;

  • Look to constantly improve levels of efficiency by putting new processes and procedures in place;

  • Provide supporting data to finance to allow for accurate recording of payroll costs;

  • Payroll Accounting: Reconciliations, journals and the GL;

  • Be the subject matter expert on all EMEA payroll matters;

  • Provide accurate and timely payroll data to other departments, internal and external auditors as and when required;

  • Liaison with external payroll providers, HR, Benefits and Rewards, Finance, and Senior Stakeholders;

  • Ensure 100% compliance with existing internal controls

  • Assist and support the roll out of system architecture to enhance and improve the payroll function

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in MNC payroll environment on multiple EMEA payrolls
  • End to end EMEA Payroll cycle experience working with outsourced payroll partners;
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls
  • Working knowledge of Oracle R12 System for HR, Time / Labour and General Ledger;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, independently or within a team environment;
  • Flexible approach to work;
  • The integrity to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Strong communications skills set internal and external;
  • Excellent problem solving / judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • EMEA languages are a plus but not essential
