The Design engineer position in the IP and System Engineering group has some of the exciting technological opportunities available for processing system and multimedia IP and subsystem integration. The position will enable design, integration and development of high performance subsystem IP for state of art engineering of SoC that finds application from automotive to data centre. The cutting edge technology, coupled with variety of tasks that are to be accomplished for product development.
As a Senior Design Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for all phases of product development from concept to execution and Productization. The position expects you to participate in and lead designs in all aspects of a technical project including: u-Architecture development for IP subsystems, leading cross-functional IP teams from front-end development through Productization
This position requires the individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, able to u-architect and design and lead complex designs and take complete responsibility for a quality delivery of the designs
Essential Functions
A major part of your responsibility will be to take a lead technical role in all phases of the product development cycle from u-arch, design through implementation, synthesis and timing closure including:
- Understand high level architecture to a implementation feasibility level
- Write u-architecture and implementation document and be the champion of the same for whole product cycle
- Contribute to synthesis constraints and timing closure
- Make sure all quality checks like clock domain crossing and power aware checks with upf are clean
- Review ASIL safety requirement and make them part of the logic design
- Have good understanding about testability of design and memory bist
- Working with cross functional teams in reviewing the verification and validation plans and ensure the product delivered is of high quality
- Requirements
Bachelors or Masters in Computer or Electrical/Electronics engineering
Strong academic background
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required
Strong logic design concepts and computer design
Expertise in some or more in Video IPs, display port, HDMI, Image processor etc are plus
Expertise in front end RTL design flow steps like lint, CDC, STA etc
Expertise in SoC Subsystem design and well versed with SoC flows
