Description

 

This unique role involves being part of a corporate US consolidations team based in Dublin. You will assist in several areas of accounting including Cash & bank, General ledger, Fixed Assets, management reporting and statistical filings to ensure the day-to-day and that month end procedures are completed to a high standard and meet corporate objectives.

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Preparation of the Monthly Bank accounts and Bank Reconciliations 

  • Support in maintaining fixed asset ledger

  • Assist in completion of quarterly and annual statistical filings

  • Preparation of monthly journals

  • Assistance with corporate consolidations

  • Support general ledger team during month-end close process; 

  • Preparation of specific balance sheet reconciliations; 

  • Preparation of monthly reports for management review

  • Exposure to process improvement projects and system implementations

Education Requirements

  • Second Year (or higher) college student

  • Studying for Degree level or equivalent in business / accountancy or related field

  • Intention to pursue professional accountancy qualification is preferable 

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Good computer literacy ; MS Products, E-Mail

  • Be a self-starter and able to act on own initiative when required

  • Problem solving skills and ability to be detail oriented

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, presentational)
