Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting this position is a dynamic role within the Corporate Accounting team based in Dublin and is primarily responsible for Fixed Assets, Prepaid and Cash & Bank Accounting of the Xilinx Group. This role is a highly visible role and involves working across multiple locations and in cross-functional teams so good communication and networking skills are required.

As the role has responsibility for the accounting of key assets of the Xilinx Group it is viewed as an important role where the right person will have the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the advancement of the team and self.


Role Scope / responsibility

  • Fixed Asset, Prepaid and Cash and Bank accounting for the US subsidiaries of the Xilinx group
  • Global Co-ordinator for Fixed Asset, Prepaid and Cash and Bank accounting of the Xilinx Group
  • Perform relevant reconciliations to and within the General Ledger and participate in all Balance Sheet Reviews
  • Preparation of monthly / quarterly consolidated reporting to Corporate.
  • Participate in the preparation and organization of audit schedules for quarterly, interim, annual and internal audits
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of US Federal/US State/International statistical filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC quarterly reporting (10Q / 10K)
  • Support the monthly consolidation process
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors as part of quarterly review/ Interim & year end audit/ Sox testing
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of financial reporting and accounting systems as well as implementation of internal controls and business process improvements

Desirable Skills/Experience

  •  US Multinational experience within Big 4 trained background and/or post qualified
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to see the bigger picture
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Flexibility to meet reporting deadlines and deal with urgent requests
  • Ability to embrace change and implement process improvements
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with different functions / regions / cultures / stakeholders with a customer service mindset
  • Comfortable presenting and reporting to senior management
  • Experience in delivering as part of a project team
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems with Oracle knowledge an advantage
  • Report writing experience an advantage
