Xilinx Inc., is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join the DevOps Infrastructure team that supports global Xilinx engineering efforts across different geographical locations. The DevOps Infrastructure team's primary objective is to provide a highly productive, best-in-class development environment that supports the engineering activities of employees across multiple sites worldwide. Candidates should be comfortable working with onsite and remote locations.

 

Job Description

  • Experience in creating scalable and automated solutions for efficient software releases to our customers
  • Experience in automating build/test environment, debug test output, extracting data to create actionable metrics
  • Support internal teams and external customers on multiple platforms
  • Proficient with Perforce, Git, Github workflow
  • Develop tools for enabling CI/CD, automated testing and release management
  • Troubleshoot incidents, formulate theories and test your hypothesis, and narrow down possibilities to find the root cause
  • Deploy and manage a DevOps pipeline using tools such as; Ansible, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Manage the software releases with version tracking and release notes
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional onsite and remote team members
  • Communicate effectively via video conferencing for meetings, technical reviews and onsite delivery activities
  • Participate in the planning, design, scalability and reliability of Engineering infrastructure projects
  • Develop tools and process to drive and improve the customer experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues 

Required Skills

·       Strong knowledge of Software development Life Cycle

·       Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, C Shell, Perl)

·       Strong knowledge of the Linux platform and CLI

·       Proficiency at Perforce, Git, Github, Gitlab

·       Building software and continuous integration (Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo etc.)

·       Proficient in cloud computing using AWS and containerization using Docker, k8

·       Provide solutions using DevOps philosophy to solve automation problems and manage the infrastructure.

·       Strong documentation and customer service skills

·       Ability to work and communicate effectively with remote and geographically distributed teams 


Minimum Requirements

·       BS or equivalent degree in CS/CE with 7+ years of related experience, or MS or equivalent degree in CS/CE with 5+ years of related experience
