Xilinx, Inc. is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to join Xilinx’s Global Trade Compliance team. The specialist will support Global Trade Compliance team’s operational activities to support company’s trade compliance requirement to applicable import and export regulations. The role will support the Asia Pacific operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Global Trade Compliance team’s day-to-day operational tasks to support business operations in Asia Pacific

  • Carry out daily screening of sales orders in Xilinx’s Trade Compliance System (XTCS) and ensure complete follow through for Denied Party Listing (DPL) hits

  • Review and approve the Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTS) for miscellaneous shipment requests from Xilinx Asia Pacific offices to ensure export compliance

  • Ensure Import and Export Control processes comply to the government and customs regulations where Xilinx has operations in the Asia Pacific region

  • Complete license application forms for submission

  • Work proactively and provide guidance to internal departments to ensure international business activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations

  • Support investigations/due diligence activities on any breaches relating to import and/or export compliance program
  • Generate and submit monthly Trade Compliance reports to the management

  • Participate and/or drive projects and perform other duties related to trade compliance as assigned by the department manager

The successful candidate should possess the following:


  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Logistics Management discipline
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a high technology company, logistics and trade compliance functions
  • Working knowledge of regional regulations of the US, EU, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, China and other trade compliance regimes of Asia Pacific countries are essential
  • Possess working knowledge in import/export and customs compliance processes including harmonized schedule and customs valuation
  • Working experience in trade compliance tools in managing screening solutions and ERP systems would be an added advantage
  • Positive working attitude and commitment to job tasks are key attributes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential as the successful candidate is required to communicate with the regulatory authorities of Asia Pacific countries
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and different countries is an added advantage
  • Energetic and highly motivated individual, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
