Senior Manager – NPI Forecasting
The Senior Manager, NPI Forecasting will manage and own the process to forecast all Xilinx NPI product demand and revenue as part of Marketing’s Business Planning & Operations team.
This high visibility role works cross-functionally to build relationships and gather input from key Xilinx stakeholders – both globally in the field and within the factory - in order to apply business judgement and create the final unit demand forecast for capacity planning and for both short and long-term revenue planning.
This business critical role plays a pivotal business role in forecasting Xilinx very latest technology products, involving a lot of close collaboration with Product Marketing, Vertical Marketing and Operations teams, resulting in need for very strong collaborative, communication, analytical and business judgment skills.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Demand & revenue forecasting for all new products, including Alveo boards, Versal, and others. Forecasts are units per device provided monthly and input into Global Operations & Quality’s (GOQ) central forecasting system.
Determines appropriate balance between wafer starts, capacity planning, inventory management and customer needs.
Revenue forecasting for all new products, including Alveo boards, Versal, and others.
Establish a robust, scalable, collaborative, and accurate forecasting process that spans several organizations (including Sales, Marketing, GOQ), ensuring stakeholder buy-in and support.
Communicate progress/status effectively across multiple organizations, including a monthly NPI reporting package for Operations Reviews, employing advanced visualization skills to effectively communicate key messages including how NPI progress is supporting the corporate strategy
Drive analytics in support of generating more accurate forecasts, including pipeline analytics, plan vs. actuals, historic trends & predictive models, etc.
12+ years of related semiconductor Planning/Operations/manufacturing related experience
Must work independently and have the ability to own the entire process, with demonstrated strong ability to apply business judgement and ownership of decisions
Excellent skills in establishing relationships and working effectively across multiple functions in a high-paced, dynamic environment with all levels of the organization
Advanced Excel skills are required
Advanced data analytics and modeling skills are required
Strong system skills in an environment with large amounts of data to review, comprehend, and summarize
Tableau or other visualization and analytics experience highly desired
Strong technical knowledge of the semiconductor industry and its products along with strong business acumen
BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Business, MS/MBA preferred
