Staff Field Applications Engineer

 

As a Xilinx FAE  you will be responsible for Xilinx accounts in Scandinavia, focusing on Sweden managing all pre sales and post sales technical interaction with Xilinx customers and Xilinx factory experts to maximize Xilinx presence in our customers systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that customer utilization of Xilinx technology works as intended (e.g., facilitate testing, acts as interface to Xilinx, help debug problems)
  • Leverage understanding of known challenges to advise customer designers on the optimum use of Xilinx IP, tools and devices
  • Lead Xilinx' technical sales team essential for effectively exploiting the power of Xilinx's programmable system on a chip in customer design discussions
  • Act as Xilinx technical program owner versus the customer and be single point of contact for customers' technical requests
  • Provide problem-solving support for customer engineering to facilitate partnering (e.g., advise on block diagram, alert to overlooked Xilinx features or functions, help customer engineering, maintain a big picture view of design)
  • Assess how the customer is using Xilinx technology and feed this information back into Xilinx for consideration by marketing or product development
  • Leverage deep understanding of Xilinx IP, tool and device capabilities to recognize and advance 'sticky' solution opportunities
  • Collaborate effectively in improvising or configuring standard technical Xilinx solutions to address unique customer challenges

 

 

Requirements;

 

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry experience with FPGA or ASIC based architecture definition, design and support
  • Fundamental experience with EDA tools for FPGA and ASIC designs.
  • Experience with embedded System-On-Chip solutions and Machine Learning concepts are a plus.
  • Knowledge of VHDL or Verilog design for ASIC or FPGA.
  • Knowledge of customers' end markets as listed above plus their specific market requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentations skills, and the ability to work with multiple groups
