Analog IC Design Engineer

Job Description:


The Serial Transceiver team designs high speed serial interface systems which are integrated into FPGA devices.


These devices are used in a variety of applications such as automotive, wireline and wireless communications. Successful implementation of these serial communications solutions requires an advanced knowledge of mixed signal design techniques.




  • At Xilinx, the successful candidate will be trained in the use of advanced design and verification tools and will be mentored by experienced design engineers.
  • Successful candidates will work as part of an experienced team executing projects in advanced 16nm and 7nm FinFET CMOS manufacturing processes.
  • Project tasks will include: analog and digital circuit design (some examples of circuits are CTLE, DFE, Multi-GHz PLL design for Rx & Tx serial solutions running up to 30+Gbps); Architecture investigations for next generation circuits; circuit simulation; device debug and characterization.



Job Requirements
  • Honors BE (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal/teamwork skills
  • Good analog circuit design fundamentals
  • Experience with industry standard schematic entry and circuit simulation tools
  • Good programming / scripting skills
  • Previous experience on high speed circuit design would be a beneficial
