As part of the Global IT Operations (GOps) Team, the IT Merger & Acquisition Director will report into the Senior Director of Global IT Operations and be assigned to lead the GOps function in one or more M&A integration projects.

 

This role will coordinate broadly across all sub-functions/departments in GOps (Front Office; Back Office; Networking; Collaboration) to coordinate, facilitate, and ensure GOps function is aligned to help deliver deal value drivers. This role will also require to partner with M&A leads of other IT functions like Engineering IT (group that supports Engineering from within IT), Business Applications and with Security and Compliance team – to ensure that the overall I&O aspects are broadly understood and will drive successful integration of the deal.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Due diligence, discovery, integration planning, integration execution and project closeout on the deals assigned.
  • Support the GOps/WWIT leadership on large and/or complex deals, or drive some functional workstreams
  • Creating, refining and managing M&A Playbooks for GOps
  • Attend training and coordination meetings as required
  • Perform Project Management tasks as needed to drive the assigned project(s), including:
    • Meeting management: scheduling, facilitation, note-taking, follow-up for functional and sub-functional meetings
    • Documentation support: development of PPT decks, Excel spreadsheets, process maps, dependency maps, etc.
    • SharePoint document management: updating folders and files in the project SharePoint site
    • Tracking and reporting: updating the Integration Plan of Record (IPOR) and RAID, compiling functional and sub-functional Weekly Status Reports, etc.
    • Lessons Learned: compiling and documenting learnings and best practices

 

 Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience working in an IT organization of a mid-to-large global company.
  • IT Infrastructure and Operations knowledge and exposure in areas of Network (LAN, WAN, wired/wireless, SD-WAN), Front Office (Desktop, Service Desk, Audio/Video), Collaboration (O365), Back Office (System/ Server, Virtualization, Backup/ Restore, DR etc.) required.
  • 5+ years experience managing M&A integration activity across multiple complex, cross-functional, global projects from initiation through close
  • Highly skilled in project management methodologies, like Waterfall and Agile, and able to apply and adapt process to suit team, organizational, and project necessities
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience in a multi-region environment
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with business and IT partners and across Xilinx at all levels to aid effective collaboration and communication
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization
  • Have Financial budget Management experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organization skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Have understanding and experience with Operational processes of ILCM, ITSM (IT Service Management), Backup, Restore, Incident Management
  • Knowledge and prior experience of working with Infrastructure and vendors like Cisco, Riverbed, NetApp, VMWare, Microsoft O365 a plus
  • ITIL certification a plus
