Xilinx, Inc. is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to join Xilinx’s Global Trade Compliance team.  The specialist will support Global Trade Compliance team’s operational activities to support company’s trade compliance requirement to applicable import and export regulations.   The role will support both US and global operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Global Trade Compliance team’s day-to-day operational tasks to support business operations
  • Work proactively and provide guidance to internal departments to ensure international business activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Assist business units with implementing trade compliance requirements into relevant business practices and processes, including developing necessary policy and training
  • Develop projects to improve global trade operations and/or mitigate compliance risks
  • Oversee record keeping program to ensure all import and export related documentation is properly filed, maintained and purged
  • Support investigations/due diligence activities and help implement corrective action as required
  • Act as point of contact to drive the efficient and compliant processing of shipments with business, supply chain and logistic teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years industry experience - high tech preferred
  • Working knowledge of US import and export regulations, preferably in the high-tech industry
  • Familiarity and knowledge of regional regulations of EU, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India and Taiwan a plus
  • Experience working with trade compliance tools in managing screening solutions and ERP systems
  • Experience in project management and implementation of effective processes and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to establish credibility and rapport with cross-functional teams, technical and non-technical teams alike
