Sr. FPGA System Level Performance Analyst
Architecture Group is responsible for R&D leading towards Architecture definition for next-generation ACAP devices from Xilinx. These devices include heterogenous compute elements and memory connected with network-on-chip, couple with powerful programmable logic. We are building a team that can influence the architecture of these exciting new devices through system performance modeling and analysis.
Key job requirements for this position:
The potential candidate shall be a self-motivated individual on engineering growth path and focused on excellence. The candidate shall have research back-ground in Computer Architecture and VLSI technologies. The individual shall be deeply conversant with implications of architectural design choices and impact on performance of various types of applications and data and compute pay-loads and shall be able to articulate the same in lucid language. The individual shall be skilled at constructing various simulation scenarios and generation and analysis and presentation of data using various industry standard tools. The candidate should have demonstrated ability to draw research conclusions from the constructed experiments and draft research papers and reporting material to articulate his findings. Further the person shall be adept at communicating with various stakeholders spread across geographies, to gather the relevant information and influence design decisions. Although the candidate shall be focused on performance modeling and analysis activities, the candidate shall be required to contribute on development of performance analysis tool and influence the development of analysis flows.
Education and experience requirements:
Masters or PhD degree with focus on Computer Architecture with 5+ years of relevant experience.
The right credentials however will triumph over degrees and years of experience. You should be skilled at, at least few of the supporting skills for such research work, such as C++ (upto C++14), SystemC, HDL languages, Python and a scripting language. The right candidate shall not hesitate to pick up any work in the team, including regression suite, development of simulation models, to research work and shall strive to thrust forward with innovative ideas.
