Description

Support electromigration (EM), voltage drop (IR), and power estimation CAD flows. Debug the flows and underlying tools when required. Interface with internal design teams to provide guidance for fixing violations and for handling bugs in the vendor tools. Interface with tool vendors to discuss tool bugs and potential enhancements. Test and enable new features in the EM/IR tools such as thermal analysis, 3DIC analysis, and rtl power estimation. Trailblaze on CAD flow development for any new features Xilinx decides to adopt.

Education:
  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
  • None
Alternate Requirements:    
  • Will also accept Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive experience as a CAD Intern or related occupation.  
Special Requirements: 
  • Must have coursework, experience, or project background in the following: 
    1. EM/IR analysis at the transistor level or gate level;
    2. Gate level power estimation;
    3. EM/IR power tools, RedHawk and Totem; and,
    4. Scripting with Perl, TCL, and C-Shell
