The Focus Director will create a direct sales model and team to engage heretofore untapped customers and markets, with a view towards growing Focus business significantly.  This role reports to China Sales VP.


The successful candidate for this role must possess extensive sales leadership and enablement skills and experience.  As a Sales Director for Focus business, the candidate will be expected to perform the following:


  • Define and drive the Xilinx China Focus business growth strategy, meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets
  • Provide creative and inspiring leadership to the China Focus team, with emphasis on Sales energy/excitement and individual/team skills development
  • Articulate differentiating key capabilities and business values of Xilinx products, services and platform solutions to customers,  
  • Ownership and maintain strong relationships at executive level in customer base
  • Gain a solid understanding of customer business initiatives, challenges and industry trends to identify ways for customers to increase their competitive advantage using Xilinx Solutions
  • Understand and prioritize account opportunities to drive maximum ROI
  •  Develop and implement innovative customer acquisition, sales enablement, and other demand creation programs
  •  Work closely with local technical support teams to develop winning proposals which capture and articulate the relevant Xilinx technical and business value
  • Establish positive partnering relationships with other Sales teams in China, and with support teams outside China (Marketing, Engineering, Operations, etc.)    

The candidate must have experience selling complex semiconductor products and systems, or closely related SW products to customers in at least one, ideally more, of the market segments targeted by Xilinx. These include: 

  • Automotive & Transportation
  • Test Measurement & Emulation/Prototyping
  • Industrial/IIoT
  • Scientific/Medical
  • Audio/Visual/Broadcast
  • Consumer

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of engineering, business management/leadership or sales and marketing experience in the semiconductor industry with proven career track record. 
  • A passion for winning and achieving challenging revenue, design wins and market share targets 
  • Proven track record of successful account management experience is desirable
  • Team player, able to work effectively within team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams
