The SerDes team in Xilinx design a wide variety of high performance analog and digital circuits used to build high speed interfaces which are integrated into FPGA devices. These devices are used in a variety of applications such as automotive, wired and wireless communications and medical imaging.
At Xilinx, the successful candidate will work as part of an IC design team and will get exposure to the process of analog and mixed signal design. In particular the candidate will get to use industry standard design tools ( Spice simulators, Virtuoso layout tools , Cadence schematic capture ) as well as data post processing methodologies using standard approaches ( e.g. Matlab, Python, Perl )
- Knowledge of analog and digital electrical circuits (Electronic Engineering undergraduate)
- Competence in at least one mainstream programming language ( Perl, Java, C, e.t.c. )
- Desire to “roll up sleeves” and learn as much as possible about the chip design process in a leading edge company
