Software-acceleration is one of the hottest topics in the world of computing. With the advent of machine learning, computer vision, and other high complexity workloads, Xilinx FPGAs have emerged as the ideal custom computing platform.
Xilinx is look for highly motivated engineers with an FPGA background to drive customer adoption of computer vision applications using the SDSoC development environment and the Xilinx reVISION stack.
The reVISION stack enables customers to create cutting edge computer vision systems in our Zynq SoCs and MPSoCs using the SDSoC flow with an accelerated OpenCV library. The SDSoC flow allows software developers working in C, C++ or OpenCV to easily and rapidly target FPGAs such as Zynq Ultrascale+ devices. SDSoC comes with a full-system optimizing compiler which automates software acceleration in programmable logic, thereby opening unprecedented computing possibilities. The reVISION stack and SDSoC flow provide low latency high performance per watt solutions, enabling new applications for our customers.
In this role, you will be working on the bleeding edge of commercial computer vision applications using software acceleration technology to help customers get their 'all programmable' platforms up and running.
You will be working very closely with customers, partners, FAEs and Xilinx R&D to ensure successful deployment of the technology and rapid resolution of issues and translate feedback into product enhancements in the SDSoC tool chain and the reVISION stack.
You will propose new features and enhancements and will collaborate with software development and marketing to ensure the SDSoC environment continues to deliver improved usability and customer visible quality.
You will author technical documentation, training materials and/or white-papers that explain and promote new features and may be required to present these to customers, partners and FAEs. Occasional travel will be required.
- Embedded system development using Xilinx Zynq or similar platforms
- Experience with embedded Linux or an embedded RTOS on ARM processors
- Knowledge of embedded C/C++
- Working with low level drivers to interface with hardware.
- Interest in machine learning
- Experience in computer vision and OpenCV is a strong plus
- BS in CE/CS +7 years relevant experience, or an MS in CE/CS +3 years of relevant experience.
