FPGA Software Verification Engineer (155126)
The Design Software Verification team play a critical role in verifying the Xilinx EDA tool chain for both pre and post silicon support.
We are looking for a talented engineer to join our team of 5 engineers in the architecture verification team in Dublin.
In this role you will be responsible for understanding & evaluating software support for FPGA architecture features by creating test designs, ranging from small unit tests to full systems addressing customer markets such as Automotive (ADAS) and Emulation/Prototyping. Your strong debug skills are needed to ensure our optimisation, place and route software running on our next generation Adaptive Compute Acceleration Platform (ACAP) meets customer needs with the highest quality.
This role requires strong FPGA design skills, combined with excellent software testing skills, including the creativity needed to imagine the many ways in which our software can be used, in order to find software flaws. You will need to learn fast as this role will require you to adapt your skills to changing technologies as Xilinx expands its EDA portfolio in the cloud and AI compute space.
Responsible for development of VHDL/Verilog designs and test benches targeting specific FPGA architecture features.
Responsible for design and implementation of larger system class designs targeting specific market segments.
Education / Experience
Honours Bachelors/ Masters in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with 2 to 5 years’ experience
MSc qualified in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with FPGA related projects undertaken
VHDL/Verilog design targeting FPGA / ASIC, including simulation.
Strong digital logic design principles.
Experience of timing closure.
Scripting language experience like Perl, Python or TCL is an advantage.
Excellent organization, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and highly motivated to learn.
